1978 A/C Servo

I just replaced the A/C servo on my 1978 300CD with a rebuilt unit. Still no blower on Hi or Lo or Bi-level Auto, just on Defroster. Is there another component in the system that could be causing this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Its been a while since I've looked at one but, I seems to recall a controller maybe located behind the glovebox area.

I may get a chance to learn more as soon as I evaluate the servo CC on the wagon.

AC Servo has a couple vacuum lines
plugged into the bottom.

This is a thermal controlled switch that is supposed to only allow fan after the
engine temp warms up (at least in cold weather).

The way I read it this keeps the fan from running.

I connected the two so vacuum is always present.

Brushes can also cause the fan to only run on Defrost, not sure
how to test for this problem.

I replaced one on a '79SD and the newly rebuilt unit was faulty. Have them give you another.

You probably have a vacuum leak somewhere.
