door lock issue W126
My door lock on the drivers door will not go down by pushing it. unless you are lucky.
But it goes down fine with the key. And all others go up and down as well(autmatically) I could not see any reason for this. Any ideas on what to be looking for? Thanks

My 84 300SD door locks only work manually, not the way they are supposed to. I haven't had time to troubleshoot the vacuum for it yet. However, my driver's door lock will not press down either --- with the door open. I can shut the door and reach in from the open left passenger and manually lock it fine. I can also manually lock it with the key.
I know it doesn't solve your problem but hopefully it is additional information.

my vacuum works great, at least on this car. My issue is with the actual lock post pushing down to activate the system. But it works fine with the key?
Any ideas on why it will not push down?

It will not go down with the door closed. It is only an issue, because my daughter needs to take a drive test for her license, and they will fail the test and not start it if everything, lights locks ect... are not working.
I can not find a reason.

What year and model are we talking about? On the 83 there is no pneumatic connection to the pod in the door but on later models there is and if pressure stays on the pod you will not be able to push it down. Try disconnecting the vac/pressure line and then push the knob down. Also it is my understanding that you are not supposed to be able to push the knob down when the door is open.

I greased it down and it seems to be working. Also checked the hoses for kinks etc. It was the 85
