Having seen that car in person, it has plenty of original character, and a really nice looking new front bumper. I think the badge has run it's course.......:o:o

X2. . .I got a spare 450SLC emblem that I was gonna do the same thing to my car with, I scrapped that idea after holding it up to the grill and realizing it was a very 'rice' thing to do. . .

Everyone hates it but me. I like it, its original, its a mbz part, it fits in the space well and adds character to the car. Its going to stay

However in my case it is saying "this car has a forced induction compression ignition engine unlike your toyta camry".


Its exactly how big diesel trucks always have "duramax diesel" badges or whatever on the side. They never put "Gasoline" on the side

The SEC tow hook covers are available on Ebay, though I didn't see any today. That's where I got mine for Mariah.
Nice touch to the car.
Now an SEC hood, grill, radiator supports, SEC front fenders, and some SEC Euro Lights and you are there.

I do like the SEC front end on a w126 sedan.

Certainly you should have the car just like you want it Derrick, just remember, where a truck might have it up near the front {don't think any have it on the grill} yours already has it on the butt........;)

Derrick for 400.00 you did very well for the age and milage. Iam always wishing I could stimble across something like this.
then 3 week ends back at the flea market this seller had this 82SD, I said nice car. he said want to buy it? $700. I look at it and walk off. come back 10 min later and has sign $600. said to him, maybe I`ll leave and come back and you`ll lower some more? give me an offer.

It`s got a cracked windshield, greasy unmaintained eng. hasn`t changed the oil in 2 yrs, valve adj.? whats that? seats that are way shot, scrape between the door and L/F fender. and the list goes on 260K+ miles.

so I got his name and left, didn`t want to buy with the emotional attachment I was getting towards it:rolleyes:.
but too many projects as it is. have his # if anyone is interested.

Iam not big on car badges,why advertise for the car co. and what it burns under the hood, who cares? I remember when Disc brakes came out, big deal, and some pick ups had a little plate on the tailgate stating it.

Derrick, if you want the turbo badge on your grill, cool. it`s your car and your identity. HMM come to think of it even FORCED had an intercooler on his.
