Problems starting my 300td

I've been unable to get my car to start for about a month now. I have changed the fuel filter and the o rings on the fuel line and I still can't get it to start. I've even plugged it in at night. Please help. Thank You.

What year is it and what was the reason it was parked a month ago?

It is an 87 300td. We moved. We were still driving it. It's just after it sat overnight it would be extremely hard to start. So much the battery keeps going dead.

The number one cause of no-start conditions on these cars are the glowplugs. Check them for voltage and check their resistance to see if they are still good.
Is your glowplug light coming on?

Go to dieselgiant.com and follow the GP turorial for the W123 shown there. That will resolve whether or not the GP's are at fault.

Did you pre-fill the new filter with fuel before attempting to start? Probably would hurt to check to see if it is still full now before trying again.

If both those things check out look for fuel leaks allowing air to enter.
