Smile My seat belt is stuck....

Hello all, Tried searching the threads but found nothing relevant.
I tried to unlatch my seatbelt today and it wouldn't budge. Pushed down on the red botton and nothing happened. I was stuck! I'm a big guy and you should've seen me crawling out from under that belt! Anyway, what can cause this and more importantly, how can I fix it? Thanks, JEFF

It happens every once in a while on the SL. I just pull on it hard enough until I hear a click, then it goes back to normal.

One of these day its going to snap, I'm sure...

when you push the red button does it feel like its activating anything inside? Try to spray some WD-40 inside of it.

You could always remove the seat belt from the car and see whats going on.

Mine is somewhat iffy too, I'll probably be trapped by it in the future at some point. Hey, better trapped than having it come apart in an accident!

When the post-accident fire starts, this opinion may change.

Its really not all that likely for a diesel MB to catch on fire....
