My question is the fuse in position "c" ( closest toward fender and towards driver ).
Chart says aux fan. Would that be A/C fan in front of radiator? Has power to it even when ignition is turned off. Too cold to check if it is a temp controlled switch. My fuses plastic was melted, but not blown. THANKS ---------------------- 1984 MB 300 SD Turbo |

I think you are right as the only other fan is in the climate control system. I read somewhere that it the aux fan all so comes on when the A/C comes on.

Fuse C is hot all the time. If the fuse has melted it's not an oem fuse. It should be ceramic, not plastic. That may be your problem. The fan is controlled by a switch on the dryer. You can short the 2 leads on the switch to turn on the fan to check the circuit.
