Webasto Heater Wiring

I am strongly considering getting a webasto heater from acrossed the pond. I don't always have access to plug my car in and I would like to prewarm my car so the time the heat blows is much quicker (I don't mind as much, but I have a 3 year old and would like it for him and my girlfriend is not quite used to the MN winters yet). I figure it could pay for itself as I had to tow my car once last winter when it was in the -20sF and I couldn't plug it in. Tow costs add up in a hurry. Plus I don't like being stranded.

My main concern is the electrical wiring. How difficult would it be to buy one that was, say for a BMW, and rewire it? The rest of the installation seems pretty straightforward- coolant and fuel line tapping, mounting, etc.

I would like to wire it to some form of universal remote and completely get rid of the timer as well.

Anyone have any advice on Webastos or wiring?
Thanks!
-Ryan
