Info about 1990 350 SDL P/S pump
The housing on the powersteering pump broke where the housing bolts to the engine. Looking online I found two replacement parts. One indicates it is w/o self leveling w/o adaptive damping system; the other is with auto slip differential and tandem pump. The first list price is $543 the second list price is $1108. How can I tell which type of pump I already have? Can I replace the one I have with the less expensive model? What will be the performance difference in these two pumps? Thank you.

If you have the SLS and/or the ASD the pump has two pumps in tandem: one for the power steering, and the other for the hydraulic oil to the leveling and diff-lock.
I just sold a dual-type (with ASD and SLS) to Larry Perkins, he might be willing to sell it to you as he just wanted it to tear apart, try contacting him. If you need the single-type, much easier to find.

I found a pump by A1cardone that gives the best price for the pump and the lowest price for the core. Because the pump housing is broken I do not believe I can get a refund for the core. Allparts express price is around $540 and the A1cardone price is about half as much. Do you know if the A1cardone pump is a good quality product?
