78'300dTurbo motor/non tubo moto

need to swap turbo motor into a non turbo motor car,one is linkage one is vacumm operated transmission,how do i do this the correct way?

Are you swapping auto tranny into a manual? Or vice-a-versa?

im not sure hes talking about any manual transmissions. maybe some confusion over bowden cable vs no bowden cable. if thats the case, I think the answer is that he needs to take the turbo transmission 722.3xx with the turbo motor. Others on the forum have definitely said non turbo transmissions 722.1xx shouldnt go with turbo motors, but that you could go the other way around, non turbo motor with 722.3xx - not sure what you would do with the bowden cable in that scneario though.

It's always difficult to give good advice if the question is ambiguous. What transmissions are involved? What engines? What is your skill level and knowledge of MB's?

Transfer both the turbo engine and transmission. The turbo engine will have the correct vacuum controls for the turbo transmission.

Won't he need to swap muffler/exhaust as well? Aren't they different for turbo/non-turbo?
