Fortunately my son and his friend were completely unhurt, but my 85 300SD appears to have reached the end of its useful life. Fished tailed on wet road and son lost control and went through chain link fence, wooden fence and finally stopped against a small tree.

As you can see the front end took a pretty good beating. The left front fender will is crumpled and the front frame in the engine bay appears bent as well.

So now what.... i'm thinking of finding a place I can dismantle it and sell for parts. The restrictions in my neighborhood will not allow me to keep parked at the house very long as all cars must be in running condition. The interior is a very good burgundy MBTex. Everthing in working order and as original as I could keep it.
