So, the rest of us can go back home, the car's already sold. Damn.

;~)

Congratulations, looks like a fine automobile.

BTW: In case European Delivery isn't clear, it is a program where Mercedes (and others) offered buyers the opportunity to order a car, pick it up in Germany, drive it on vacation, and ship it home (often as a used car). It would be a US spec car ordered through a US dealership, just not shipped here for delivery.

Awesome! If you are happy with the car, and had the $$$$, then don't let the talk of $$$ come up anymore, and just talk about how much you like the car.
It looks tits!! :thumbsup2:

babymog 12-30-2008 10:08 PM

Yes. The 201 and 124 passenger-side mirrors are taller and not as wide as the driver's side, ... almost square. Also, pass-side is convex (not aspheric) with driver's side flat, both with blue tint (I co-designed the 124 EC mirrors).

NICE FIND!

And barely broken in. (check my "signature")

Treat her well, and you could theoretically drive that car for a LONG time; until your hair is the same color as the car - Grey & White.

its a 1995 E300 Diesel
White w/ Grey Leather
108,6xx Miles

has smaller pass side mirror (assuming euro option?, and Glass Lens headlights?

The smaller passenger mirrors are standard on these vehicles. The unsafe narrow width mirror feature restricts field of view to the right.
The glow plug harness is engineered to rot within 10 yrs because of European green laws. I replaced harness on my 95 E300D last spring for just over $400.00 from Phil at Mercedes Shop.
Fuel mileage around town is 26-30mpg and 35-36 Hwy. Could have been signifigantly and easily improved with a lock up and lower revs on the road.
I believe you'll enjoy the E300D very much however the engineering deficiencies and the sorry ventilation controls this vehicle inherited from the 80's models are extremely disapointing.
This car should easily see 400,000mi on the engine and you paid an equitable price for an automobile well maintained, so enjoy!!!!:)

Dealer prob didnt give them much more than $5-6K for it as a trade in and they get to perform labor for cost to fix it. I'd try to get them to knock $500 or $1000 off the price.

Ask when the GP's were last done and if the harness has been replaced yet.

Ditto.
