Anyone brought MB diesel from Europe?

I so want diesel wagon with manual. I am looking at this one and my uncle can buy it for under $2000. This is 1987 non turbo 200TD, dealer serviced with 200k miles. I can arrange cheap shipping to NY but don't know what's next. Is it difficult or expensive process in here to have this car registered?
