Unusual W116 junkyard find today

The fabric roof cover and spoiler were well done (I would have taken the spoiler if it wasn't damaged) but the chrome lower half, wire wheels and white wall tires don't work for me.

Nah, it was almost perfect weather for junkyarding. Clear sky and not too cold to walk around without a jacket but not too warm to break a sweat.

Just a little to bright for a night owl like me. I had to wear the shades.

Took me awhile to figure out the white stuff on top of the car. Oh, that's snow! They had that when I was a kid in Wisconsin, many years ago. How neat, I guess all of the old things haven't been discontinued after all.

Yeah. It was picked over pretty well but the body panels and doors are still in great shape.

I also found out that Sidewinder is closing at the end of the month, to make way for a sewage treatment plant.

I'm having some climate control problems so I could use some of those parts. Did it have a servo and blower?

I don't know. It was a g@sser so I didn't look it over much beyond the shock value of the exterior.

Lucky, I wish the ground was frozen here. I was up to my knees in MUD last weekend. I've seen a few newer MB's come in with those ridiculous side panels. WHY!

The spoiler looks like one for a 190.

Looks like that may have once belonged to "Nutz4Benz" over at BW.

There was an abomination like that in the yards here awhile back. Fabric roof that covered 1/2 the rear window area, puffy velour seats, ronal R9s (trashed ) ghetto spoiler...
