Back column reupholster question

I'm finally getting around to replacing the panel between the back door and back window, and now that i've got the old broken panel off, I have to figure out how to fasten my black liner to the plastic part. (The original on the "new" part is blue)(Thanks Fred!) Anyway, my guess would be to spray the nasty adhesive on it and try like hell not to get any on the interior side of it. But when I peeled the upholstery off of mine and the other one, it was like there wasn't any adhesive on it, except for maybe the perimeter.(??) Also, does anyone know if it would work better if I warm the material first? My old one's backing plastic cracked in half and it's been kind of dangling since last winter. Not a bad crease, but a crease all the same. If anybody has any ideas or know-how in this kind of repair, I'd like to hear it.
I do know that the metal trim ring where the rear seat belt comes through has to come off (already did it), and that it will hold the material tight at that point. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks! Lee
