Did the repair shop offer any warranty on work? It seems like paying $400 for work should include some type of warranty especially if it didnt work when you picked up the car from the shop....

Ok First - I do not believe the issues with the blinkers have anything to do with the vacuum system. That is another problem all together. To troubleshoot this, I would check all connections to the blinkers, check the fuse (clean the contacts on the fuse holder & fuse) and if that doesn't work start investigating the actual turn signal switch on the steering column.

Second...
If it shifts hard and wont shut off it could mean either two things - not enough vacuum being generated from the pump and/or there is a leak somewhere. Id suggest buying a MITYVAC with is a simple vacuum gauge to diagnose the problem. (If money's tight go for the plastic one, I know someones gonna bark about this lol) What you want to do is start with the main line coming from the vacuum pump and test to see that there is sufficient vacuum. Maybe someone can chime in on what the vacuum should be but I believe its around 20psi? If your vacuum is low then it might be time for a rebuild. If the vacuum from the pump is good - do a search on this site as there are TONS of information on how to diagnose the rest of the vacuum system.

Welcome to the forum.

thanks guys but yeah the guy at the who attempted to fix the problem was a transmission shop and was recommended by another mercedes owner and he told me when I found out the problem was not fixed, they are just slow cars period and the trans is supposed to shift hard and being a smart a$$ he told me if I wanted a fast car should have bought a mustang. And he wants to charge me more to fix the problem he didnt fix. But could someone post a vaccum diagram from this site please, not being rude but I have to be registered to look at any pics and stuff on the different forums, and im a noob when it comes to these cars thanks. And does anyone someone who works on these cars dfw weatherford tx area thanks again

Is this the same car that is listed for $900 in the Ft. Worth StartleGram? If so, why not list it in the Cars for Sale section here. Maybe some of the members would be interested.
