Project save the wagon begins.

Well I was trying to sell this 84 300TD last year. It has 193K on it and runs beautiful, very strong. The rear end is shot but I have a 2.88 in my backyard. Getting things under control kinda around here, and its the perfect time of year for garage projects. Although the body has some really ugly spots it is still saveable. May end up being my winter bomb. This has got to be low budget, thats key. It will never be a show car, but hey its a wagon. I was thinking of putting a Webasto heater in my other 300TD with the clean body, but just couldn't cut or drill holes in it. Wouldn't have that problem with this one as I'll be cutting it right from the start. Lots of work http://asnowsquall.smugmug.com/gallery/4647637_pEzpN#P-1-20
Dave

Good luck Dave.

Do you have a Webasto already? I was looking around for one myself, but I haven't found anything affordable yet. I also like the Espar Hydronic D4 Coolant Heater.

I should have jumped on the one I saw on Ebay a few months ago.

parts....

Dave.

If you need any parts, the 82 (or is it 83?) 300TD is still in the junkyard. And the donor car is the same color. White, right? The front bumper though is really bent --- wreck in the passenger front fender corner.

Yes it is! I've got a boiler running on 100% waste veggy oil, its running a zone into my basment. Typically the garage doesn't get much colder than 50, but it depends on what I set the basement temp at. Real easy to plumb a zone in the garage just don't feel I need to right now.

I do have the Webasto including the timer control. Got it all on Ebay about 3 years ago. Can't even remember what I paid but I know it was a deal.

Thanks, I owe you already. At least I think it was you that I got the rear lense and leveling regulator from. Well now that I've started to work on it there is interest from someone wanting to buy it for $750. It's a deal for them but I may let it go as I have way to many cars (normal).

Chad, if the white car goes I'll pull the parts car int he garage and finish ripping out everything so that it can go away also.
