coupe rear window regulators

I was re-arranging my storage and I came across a set of window regulators that were included with the purchase of my coupe. They look like they might be rear window regulators, but they dont look like the ones in the car. The ones in my car are broken and they stick halfway. I heard there was an improved design, does anyone know if these are the improved design regulators? There is no part number on them that I could find.

84 300cd

I have an 84 300CD and the rear window regulator looks nothing like the one you have pictured. Mine has an articulated arm that bends and drops the window. If you want a picture let me know and I will get it in a few days.

yes thats what mine look like too. As with every coupe I have ever seen mine bind half way down and self destruct. I even welded in reinforcements for mine and still no-go. Its a really poor design. they try to apply a force 12inches away from the track and when the front track sticks it just bends everything like a pretzel. I was hoping these would fit but I looked today and they are not for this car the best I can tell. maybe they are from an SEC

My arm was bent and forced off the pin at the top. I found another one and put it in just to have it pop the snap ring off and not work again. I spent a lot of time making spacers to shim the mechanism off the mounts so that the arm would follow the arc that the window made. I put in about 1/2 inch spacer in at one of the three mounting points and it works fine now. I do lube the track on occasion to keep it working. The car just looks better with all of the windows rolled down.

I'm going to be into the interior of my SEC in a bit, and can take pictures of that area if you want.

The naming conventions that MB use usually make sense, but there are times...
SEC is a coupe, but so is a CE, CD, and apparently a few others.

Why flip the coupe designator on the smaller chassis? *shrugs*

I was thinking maybe it might fit a W124 coupe. That style lopok alittle to modern for the W126.
