Pressure Test New Injectors?

I have a 81 240D and it has the original Bosch injectors in it and I run B99 in it. I bought four new Monark injectors. I was told by one person that you should pressure before they are installed, I ask how much it would cost and the person said that you don't need too because they are new.

How is right?

Completely new injectors, not rebuilt with new nozzles? Well, theoretically they should be good to go if they are completely new, but I'd still feel better having them tested.

I don't think I could sleep at night without testing them first, but I'm just one of those annoyingly anal people when it comes to my machines.

I'd have them balanced. You'll find out that they are all spraying properly, and you'll know for a fact that they are all popping properly.

My relative and foreign auto shop owner, tested the injectors in my 85 300td, found a couple of dubious ones and replaced them, but also checked the reman Bosh he put in. Its a simple tool, hydraulic piston with a handle, line and a jar to shoot into.

If they are 100% new injectors you are probably OK running them out of the box. If you just got the nozzles and rebuilt the injectors you should pop test them. I test them for $3/each. Check the link in my signature.

From my own limited experience I'd say the opposite is true, at least when it comes to rebuilt Bosch injectors. I have found them to be all over the place when it comes to pop pressure. On the other hand, replacing just the nozzles and keeping everything else in the injector original results in a continued balanced set, at least from what I've seen.

PM/email may work better.

bgKast- on that note ^- you still offering Monarch nozzles?

I would have them match balanced, new or rebuilt. if they were done at a shop, the Should be balanced, but I'd make sure to let them know that is what I wanted.

These are new injectors. I heard that the Monarks are better then the Bosch ones.

My plan is to get them pressure tested and balanced. When you balance them, will this cut done on the shaking?

If the shaking is being caused by the old Injectors the new ones have a good chance of helping.
Replacing my Injectors with rebuilts was what had the biggest effect on reducing the shaking on my 300D but, a Valve Adjustment, new Engine mounts, 1 new Engine Shock and a new Transmission Mount all paired the shaking down one step at a time.
I forgot to mention I also had a small air leak due to hard Fuel Inlet hoses tat appeared tight that also caused a little shake also.

Monark's stuff is sopposed to be much better than the Indian Bosch products.

PM sent. Turn around time is usually 5 days including return shipping.

I don't sell just the nozzles. C Sean Watts is the guy to get your Monark Nozzles from, I get them from him too.

I have done the valve adjustment and new mounts. I'm going to have the injectors and see what happens, I hope that they do something about cutting down on the shaking.

My car definitely shook less with rebuilt injectors and I had already done everything else to cut down on the shaking.
