In case anybody is looking for a manual tranny from a w117

Um, no such thing as a W117. There is an M117 though (V8. 450/500/560).

That bell housing will NOT bolt up to an OM617. If you're lucky, a bell from a 4-speed will work.

are you sure this wont bolt up? Arent there several midplates that have verying bolt patterns? I have that same bell from a 60's diesel 200D
