I was thinking it could be something with the AT since if it was a problem with the fuel system then the car would behavining differently so it could be something the torque converter, valve body. Although codes should be thrown if it was a shift solenoid or torque converter solenoid.

The one thing that is definitely noisier is from P to R and back - a big clunk when I listen with the door open (on drive!)
