wiper linkage adjustment w123 ?

Before I take the assembly apart to expose the passenger side wiper linkage, to get a look see, does anyone know if the wiper linkage on a 1984 123 has an adjustment on the passenger side to increase the range of movement of the wiper?

Here's the problem...when I have my wipers set on the low speed or intermittent, when the passenger side wiper sweeps up across the windshield, the end of the wiper doesnt quite meet the edge of the sweep area of the driver side wiper. This is a minor annoyance, because when the wiper is on intermittent, there is always a drip there which runs down the windshield before the next wipe. If only the passenger wiper wiped into the sweep range of the driver wiper (as it should), then the driver wiper would then pick up the water on its way down.

But when I put the wipers on higher speed, the passenger side wiper wipes well into the sweep pattern of the driver wiper (the way it should) eliminating the above problem. So, what I want to do is make the wiper do this while on low speed or intermittent.

The solution is not to just move the wiper up a notch on the splined pivot, because the wiper already comes to rest a little higher than it should.

Thanks,

Mark
