Price check on aisle 7! 1997 E300D and 1985 300SD

Both of these cars have some miles, the 97 has 260K, very minor oil leak, owner can't find where it is coming from but not having to top off between changes. Lots of new parts. Good condition, interior showing a little wear but overall good.

83 300SD, good to excellent cond. One of the better ones I have seen. 250K, one owner, lots of docs. timing chain has been done.

The SD, ~$3k

Pictures are a must though. Its hard to value a car without seeing it.

The value of the SD is strictly on condition. There is no possibility of putting a realistic figure without some good photos.

It could be worth $1500. It could also be worth $5K. The latter figure would require a stack of maintenance records because everything on the front and rear ends would need replacement at that mileage.

I don't know much about this, but only from hearing other's talk on the forum. In CA don't they keep the plates for lifetime? I thought since it is one owner it should have the original blue plates?

It does look in good shape. To justify that price it better be in excellent condition with everything working and the reciepts to verify.

I did an autocheck and its clean although there is no history of emissions and registration, but it wouldn't be the first time I bought a one owner car where there was no record of registration.
