w140 Power Steering Replacement

I took my '92 300SD in to get a new alternator put in because I did not want to crawl around in the cold and I suspect that the mechanic broke the power steering mount while he was at it. I can't prove it, so I'm on the hook to replace the pump. I've looked around for a used one and the ones for w140s w/o load leveling are scarce. I've looked at the blowups of the two different pumps (with and w/o load leveling) and it looks like the ones for the load leveler models have the same P/S pump body with an additional pump or something slapped on front and attach to the motor the same way.

I wonder if I can use a pump which has the load leveling attachment and just plug the holes for the load leveling connectors. The high pressure side is a banjo connector and the low pressure is just a clamp.

Any ideas as to whether that will work or not?
