West Texas Road Support?

I'm thinking of taking Dusty on a 500 mile road trip tomorrow up to Fort Worth, Texas. I haven't been more than 30 miles from home since I got it a few weeks ago. Minor work only: valves, oil, purge, etc. I could take my 96 F250, but it is such a beast on long drives. Anybody along I-20 between Pecos and cowtown that I can call in a pinch?

I realize I'm in for an adventure if I have not gone through everything with a fine tooth comb yet, but sometimes, what the hell.

I'm in Granbury, about 24 miles West of Fort Worth. I've got an 01 F250 I can tow with, as well as AAA. I'll be in and out of the area all day as well. I might even be going into Ft Worth off 820 East for a rig move. Won't know my full schedule until tomorrow.

But if you get in a pinch you can email, PM or call/text me. It all goes to my phone no matter what. If you want, send me an email or PM and I'll send you my number and so on.

EDIT: Also, not sure if they still do it. But I was under the impression that Mercedes-Benz offered free Roadside Assistance with any MB, regardless of age, or number of owners. Their number is/was 1800-FOR-MERC, iirc.

EDIT 2: Texas also has Roadside Assist, there's a number on the back of your license 1-800-525-5555

The "free" aspect is very limited. They will deliver a token amount of fuel, replace a flat tire with your spare, or provide a jump start. Anything else will reduce the balance in your bank account.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I can keep fuel in the tank, air in the tires, and charge in the battery. It's things like keeping timing chains out of the oil pan and drive shafts under that car that would be the show stoppers! 1-800-on-ur-own.

Check the belts, hoses, fluid levels, tires, then hit the road.

Holds water ,oil ,and air with a good spare,go for it.The major thump I had coming from the rear of my 300d made itself noticed mid trip one summer,I was coming from Dallasback to Houston.Rear half shafts might be one off the check list to inspect ,good luck.
