1985 300SD coolant leak and engine power loss

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies to the last message. OK, I found the source of the coolant leak, it seems to be the lower side (weep?) hole on the water (coolant?) pump. Any idea what this means? Does it mean the inside of the pump is gone? Any ideas would be appreciated.

As for engine power, it seems the line connecting the switchover valve to the banjo bolt was broken (old and brittle, engine rattle when motor mounts were toast could easily have snapped it). I cleaned it and the banjo out and reconnected, seems a little better but still not what it once was. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Jim
