Swap a 602 for a 606?

Hey all -

'95 E300D with three spun rod bearings. Repair is looking less and less of an option, and used engines are hard to come by and expensive.

Can I replace that 606 with a '92/'93 vintage OM602??

Brighten my day and tell me yes.
