Can't get AC belt tight....maybe its tight enough

I just replace my belt with a identical belt (length portion of part number). I can't get the AC belt very tight at all. the small adjusting nut seems to be adjusted all the way "in". That being said...the A/C compressor engages and blows cold air and doesn't squeal when engaging. When the engine is running the belt can be seen "floping" a bit. Don I need to worry about this...or should I just "go with it"..thanks
