Water Pumps how difficult are they to put in a 84' 300 D and are there any links

I was wondering the difficulty of putting in a new water pump in a 84' turbodiesel. I have a service manual but it doesn't put too much light on the matter. If anyone can lead me to a link about doing this procedure that would be great.
I figure it is time to do a citric acid flush to get rid of those calcium deposits and I might have to change the water pump, but it would be nice to know how even if that isn't the case. I appreciate it.

It's easy. Remove the shroud. Remove the fan and clutch with a 10mm box end with the outside ground thin to fit in the space, unbolt the pump, remove, replace.

Kerry is right really not that bad. Just make sure to get a long 10mm and again grind it down (I had a short one and not enough leverage could be had). Replace your pump now before it strands you on the side of the road.......so speaks the voice of experience :D

Agreed, easy, you may want to use anti-seize compound on the bolts.
