300SD Electrical Problem Interior Lights

When attempting to remove the rear reading light to change a bulb, I was idiotic and managed to blow the fuse that controls all interior lights (#15 in the fuse box) in my '85 300SD. Now, none of the rear interior lights work without blowing that fuse. Odd thing, the front dome light, front puddle lights and trunk light work fine without blowing this fuse. The fuse also blows when using the console switch to turn on the rear dome light. As a temporary fix, I've disconnected the rear door pillar light switches. It appears that the rear dome light has nothing to do with the time delayed front one. Any ideas or does anyone have a wiring diagram?

Thanks,
Brian

Yes, I did. As it turns out, when I shorted fuse 15, the force of the short caused the connectors on the driver's side rear door's puddle light to pop off the light itself. The connectors were touching each other and causing the short. The wiring to the rear looks horrendous to diagnose. Wish you luck and hope that I never have that problem in the future.

Puddle lights - that's good. Mine started staying on a few years ago and I just removed the bulb. Maybe I will look into the problem soon. Puddle lights.
