Can you pull the oil cooler without pulling the rad? 1980 300SD

I need to replace a leaky one and would rather not mess with the mess unless I have to

Looks like I might be able to get at the bracket bolts if I move the AC condenser, but I thought I better check before diving in.

Not sure of the W116, but the W126 has a bolt at the top and the bottom that secures the cooler to the radiator. Two bolts and the cooler is out (after the hoses, of course).

At the moment, I'm missing the lower attachment bolt...........apparently vibrated away.........

I will send you a good used engine oil cooler mount clip and bolt free..

On the 116, the mounting bolts are "near" the top and the bottom, and the back sides are completely obscured by the condenser.. Looks like it will be easier (even with the mess) to just pull the radiator. Musta been time for a coolant flush anyway
