617.95 Fan Clutch

It look like the time has arrived to renew the radiator fan clutch on my '82 300D. I see that there is a Meyle clutch available for around 40% of the cost of a Behr unit. Anyone have any insight into the reliability of the Meyle part? I am mindful of the fact that saving money is not always cost effective.

Also, has anyone "upgraded" their metal fan to the lighter, nylon version?
