Rear Sway Bar Link replacement

I have searched for a step by step for replacing the rear sway bar links. I cannot find any thing. It's probably one of "If it was a snake, it would have bit you..."

My questions are this: How to remove the one that appears to be attached to the brake backing plate? Do I need to remove the caliper and rotor?

This is an easy one.
They are threaded into the backing plate and will simply unbolt by turning the hex.

That is great news. The ones I received shipped with two nylocks in each package, and that is what propmted my confusion.

The ones on my car are not yet broken, but with the full weight of the car on the ground, you can grab and shake them creating a rattle.

Not worth it, its not the link itself that fails but the little ball joint/grease boot on the ends....at $11 each, they're not exactly that expensive.

Our horrid roads here have already destroyed mine quite a bit....and they've only been on the car about 3-4 years. They will still last a little longer, but you can see the wear and tear on them, its crazy.

I got the plastic ones. Metal would be good, if you can replace the rubber bushings in them. They look to disposable, so I would guess either would suffice.

The hardest part is jacking up the car and removing the wheel.
