Karlyn Motor Mounts any good?

My coupe is in need of new motor mounts, and I have read on this forum that good quality motor mounts (Lemforder or OEM) are absolutely essential, or I will be changing them out every couple of months. It seems like all I can find for sale online are "Karlyn" mounts...Beck/Arnley are also available. I'm just wondering if Karlyn mounts are any good, since just about every online parts supplier (including Fastlane) sells them.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm also wondering if I should change my engine shocks or not while I'm in there, and whether or not I need a shock mount kit?? Maybe I should make a new thread? Lol.

I bought some from ******** in the past- I could have sworn they were the Karilyn ones but they list "Corteco/Meyle" now and I'm not buying Meyle parts ever again. Anyways the ones I bought before for my 84 300SD allowed the engine to sit way too low and risk having the belt cut through the oil cooler lines. Basically they don't allow the engine to sit up high enough but arent a bad choice if your old mounts are totally rotted through and not just collapsed. My cost on new ones from dealer is about $70 each and that still seems a bit high.

1 year and 4 months ago I installed the cheapest I could find. I believe they were Euro mounts but the place I bought them from also sell Anchor mounts and both are less than $7 each; plus shipping.

So far no problem. But, I have been careful to keep Oil and Fuel off of them and to degrease them if I get an on them.

The Transmission mounts and my Radiator hoses are also made by Euro; as well as the front suspension parts I replaced (LCA Bushings and Upper Control Arms).

You are correct; I disremembered the company name.

So I talked to Rusty over at BuyMBParts, and he assured me that they were good mounts, so I went ahead and ordered a set today. I will let everyone know how they pan out.
