What is the differences in the tail lights?

DOT lights have reflectors on the back, and red reflectors on the sides with a window for the small side marker light to shine through. Euro lights are yellow all the way around and don't have the window.

US ones have DOT on them. I was thinking there is some difference in the colors of the outer light I cant remember which and the red fog lights are wired in the rear. I use that slot for second brake lights
