Rear Shocks/Rear Seat Removal

Please forgive my ignorance, but I can't figure out how to remove the rear seat to access the top mounts for the rear shocks. Please advise.

the bench (lower) has release levers towards the front outer edges
lifts up and out. The back has perhaps three screws one on each end
of the bottom edge and one in the center bottom, mine had screws with
5/16 or 8mm heads remove these and slide up and then out it comes

there should be plastic plugs covering the upper shock mounts, remove for access
