Alda Removal - How in the DEUCE!??

guys, i owe someone an alda unit attached to one half of the injector pump. so i have a spare cracked injector pump, and i'm trying to remove this alda unit. i believe the way to do it is to just get two large channel locks and pry it apart where the two nuts meet each other, but the upper nut is so close to the body of the alda, my channel lock is too thick to remove it.

now, the threaded part that hte lower nut holds attaches to the metal plate that has four bolts that hold it attached to half the injector pump. when i turn that nut (now I can grab the alda and just turn it by hand), the bolt goes out a certain amount, and then stops unscrewing.

so, is there any other way to remove the alda unit out of the injection pump other than separating it at the two nuts? shoot, i don't want to go get a low profile 23mm (or whatever size) wrench just to get this part out.

also, if the upper part of the alda is dented (on the part that faces the hood), does that break the alda, or is it still usable?
