1983 300D Oil in the diesel fuel

Forum Gurus,
I searched for threads with this issue and only found reverse threads (diesel fuel in the oil). I just recently changed out the lines coming from my fuel tank as the one had been leaking for a while. I've also gotten some smoke on start up, a little rougher starting up than it used to. There is also some smoke that stinks even after the temperature is warm/hot.

Things were confirmed after checking my fuel filter and the drained diesel that came out when I changed fuel lines - it's got a dark hue/tint. It appears my oil is somehow mixing with the diesel.

I'd like to remedy this. Can anyone point me to an existing thread or post a reply with some direction so that I can fix my 83 300D?

Thanks - The Last Boy Scout and Quirky '83 300D and The Martyr '82 300D
