Where do you put your spare coins?

I drove back from Northampton today for a show that I went to last night and I had the incredible pleasure of having to pay for a toll road

I keep all of my spare coins in the clean ashtray under the radio, but it's a pain to jab my fingers past the metal. I'm thinking of cutting it out and sanding down the rough edges.

What are some of your solutions guys?

and no, EZpass is not one of them ;)

I've got a leather pouch I keep coins in. Comes in handy for drive thrus and the like. EZPass gets me through the tolls. The ashtray annoys me way too much to do anything with.

Hello. Not sure on the W123 but on the W124 you can peel out the metal and it makes a great coin holder.

In my pocket, I hate loose stuff in the car.

just through it all in the door pocket

I put only quarters in my ash tray. (Mine has very smooth edges, take a picture of yours so I know what your talking about) That keeps things simple, neat and eliminates the time needed to search for exact change.....just round to the nearest 1/4.

Any other coin denomination's get put into the tray under the keys. When I get home I take them out of the car and put them in a holder to be rolled and brought to the bank at a later time.

Coins in the car

Folks I went to a Staples, Office Max type of store and purchased a changer-- this was a number of years ago -- I'm not sure if they still have these availalbe or if they can order them or not-- Remember years ago paper boys would have these things that strapped on their belt and they could easily make change.

I know you can find these things on-line et ebay or the likes.

I agree (we now have I-Pass) change in a car is a royal pain

Hope this helps

Yeah I remember those "on the belt changers" you wore on your belt. They were cool.

They were real "shiney" and had a handle for each coin.

I'd love one of them.

I just bring my change home and it disappears, my kids think it's free spending money.

My wife does that with the green stuff I bring home.
I call it her "leather ATM".

I keep a 35mm film can (remember film? it was used in cameras?) full of quarters in the glove box. Comes in handy for parking meters and such.

LOL, I currently have about eight rolls of film with me; it's still around. I seem to remember film canisters being used to hold all kinds of interesting stuff. ;)

Loose change finds its way all over my vehicle, when I clean out the car is the only time I rediscover it,usually pays for the vacuuming and a cool drink afterwards.
