Air shocks in place of hydraulic self leveling system in 1982 wagon

The previous owner of the car replaced the engine with a non wagon one.

So there is no hydraulic pump for the self leveling system.

I have a pair of AC Delco air shocks that are made for a 70's model camaro.

They are the closest fit air shock I have been able to find.

Putting them in today, hopefully :crossfingers:

Hope I do not offend the mercedes gods, and get smited for my heracy.
