How reliable are the aux water pumps on the 300TD?

I am plannoing to rework a Citroen TA 15-6 which suffers, like all of them do, from lack of coolant movement to the rear two cylinders, causing distortion and other problems over long periods.

I am thinking about sticking an aux water pump for a 300TD in the system to address this.

1. Has anyone used this aux coolant pump for any other projects?

2. How reliable are they in general? How available? Is a new one a good value? Is a PNP unit worth the effort?

3. Anybody got one they want to sell?

Thanks

I have used/abused several as light hydraulic oil transfer pumps.

Durability = 20 years and/or 200,000 mile average life..

It is rare for one to fail under ten years...

I will check my good used parts, we can trade stuff..

Just curious - how will adding an auxiliary pump aid flow to the remote cylinders? Seems to me you'd have to tap into a casting hole or freeze plug at the rear of the engine with something more capable than an aux pump like a dragster electric water pump. Do you have 12V in the Citroen?
