Every w123 Ive owned has this. How have others fixed it?

I asked around, you need the right foam to prevent corrosion and harm to the pipe. HD has the right closed cell foam - Armacell Armalite AP. $3.97 for about 6ft.

I want to bond it to the metal, so there is really no space for moisture to exist under there.

Should really help prevent heat pickup sitting so close to the valvecover.
