Anyone familiar with the Bosch 12V Auxiliary Water Pump?
Hi all,
I've been converting my 1985 300TD (220,000 miles) to run SVO in the winter, and my water pump hasn't been moving my coolant in my extended plumbing loop; regardless of bleeding, it will airlock. I spoke to a few reputable SVO conversion sources, and was informed that it is not uncommon for mercedes to require an additional coolant pump. So, I bought the Bosch 12V auxiliary pump from ********, which was listed specifically under my car model and year. I have posted a picture of it, and was wondering if anyone recognizes this connection and knows how to properly integrate it into the car's electrical system. Also, as there is a lack of information on the pump or box, I am not sure of what size fuse the pump is looking for. Any ideas? Thanks! |

You bought a replacement?
Quote:
Didn't understand what you meant by extended plumbing loop the first read through. I interpreted that as your description of the heat exchanger loop in the cooling circuit. If you meant an additional loop you have added and are having issues pushing water through it, I'm sure someone smarter than I will chime in on the feasability of that. Don't see why tapping in another pump with that plumbing wouldn't work, keep in mind your power requirements are ballooning. But, seeking to burn veg, you are most likely familiar with that concept already. FNHB
