Best repair manual
Evening,
I'll know in about two week if I'm the one that must put a new gasket on where the injector pump attaches to the block. I've got a Haynes manual, and have been looking around for guidance. Does anyone know of, or have used any manuals to help them with jobs like this. I'm really hesitant about doing this, but if I have to - well, I sure would like to know what I'm doing. Thanks. The job you have in mind would be similar removing and re-installing the Fuel Injection Pump on other Engines. However, retiming the Fuel Injecion Pump might be different and have different specs.
For a general idea find something similar in the DIY section: DIY Repair Links http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diy-links-parts-category/ http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/DoItYourSelf

This place claims to sell a paper maual for about $67 and the Factory CD type manual for $47.
However, that last time I recommended one of the CD manuals but, for another chassie I was told they wer out of stock. So I would contact the seller first to besure what is in stock and what is not. People sometimes complain about the Factory CD as it does not have good pics. But, what the Factory CD does have is a huge volume of information in it. I have never read of anyone who has the other paper manual that they sell so cannot comment on that. http://www.mercedesmanuals.com/Mercedes_Benz_Manuals_1980_1989_Factory_Official_s/3.htm Bently is another company that makes and sells manuals. However, they are about $100 each and no one has written a review on their manuals either.
