85SD 90K has minor diesel leak

My 85 300SD has minor diesel leak. After it
sits a day or two i notice a small puddle of
diesel beneath on carport floor. It's better since
I had all injector hoses replaced but still leaks a
little. ??

Have you replaced all the rubber hoses? Also the screw type hand primer can leak as well.

Yes. All of the diesel fuel injector hoses were
replaced a month ago. Recently I've noticed
a small puddle of diesel on carport floor at
different times. This '85 has the hand primer
in case car runs out of gas. Not sure if that's
what is leaking diesel. ??

There are also rubber inlet and return lines, in addition to the injector lines. The large return line looks like a cigar. The other lines feed the plastic or primary filter, then another section of rubber hose goes from the primary filter to the lift pump.

What color is the hand pump?

White/Yellowish color. Of course it's grimy
given it's age.

That is the old style. They are known to leak. The new style is black. I would go ahead and have that replaced.

Anytime! That is what this forum is all about!

BTW, welcome, and if practical for you, we all can walk you through replacing stuff.

Replacing that primer pump is not real difficult.
