300TD Brake light access? (w123)

How do you access the tail and brake lights on the 300TD? I searched every combination on here and didn't see anything on how to get back there. Is it just taking those two slotted bolts out or what?

Thanks

I really don't remember exactly, but I think it's the two slotted bolts. the assembly drops out.
on mine, the lower one was rusted REALLY BADLY and was SUCH a pain to get off.

Yes, remove the slotted nuts accessible just inside the hatch and the whole light assembly will come off. Mine were not rusted and still weren't that easy to turn.

There are two nuts on the inside of the car that hold each on in. You'll have to remove the spare tire to get to the driver's side lens. The passenger side nut are slotted and and visible in the corner.

Thanks, it didn't occur to me that the whole assembly came out like that. Easy as pie once you know how it works.
