Post OM602 W124 Turbo circuit board bypass modification thread search

The W124 91-93 circuit board modification to fool the turbo computer into thinking all is well has been referenced as being accomplished in another thread. I cannot find this thread if anyone knows where it is please respond with a link

Thankyou

Are you talking about an EGR delete?

Yes - it is an EGR delete - I have read through GSXR post and will more than likely just install the pressure style actuator but before I do I am interested to find this other thread on a custom circuit board bypass to the EDS

Thank you

I would like to do the EGR delete myself but finding the actuator seems to be the hard part.

Here is the part number and location to purchase the replacement actuator

part number 433489-12

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TP&Product_Code=433489-12&Category_Code=

# please note that the rod length will have to be shortened

as a reference this thread :
A : ( post number 133 ) explains the rod length customisation
B: I would highly recommend perusing the entire thread of which the page 9 URL is listed here :
Wastegate actuator swap for OM602.962?

and

for detailed pictures of the parts involved : ( wastegate13.jpg ) for actuator image )
http://www.w124performance.com/images/OM602_intake/

Thank you

also,

in this same thread : page 10

Wastegate actuator swap for OM602.962?

it is outlined that for the manifold port fitting one should purchase this :

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-FTG-040&Category_Code=ATP-FTG2

! please note that this fitting is a NPT thread and will certainly work for the self tapped hole on the turbo housing that GSXR implemented but I have yet to confirm that the OE manifold threads used by : VegStew in post # 117... here :
Wastegate actuator swap for OM602.962?

are in fact a match for the 1/8" NPT thread. I will write again when I have confirmed this.

Thank you

See my reply(#171) to your post on EGR delete Thread

Chris,

The Biggest reason for enacting this modification is that once it's done
You can IGNORE the EDS (Electronic Diesel System A.K.A. Computer)
[You've changed out it's (The EDS's)ONLY MEANS of controlling the Turbo]
The Only Thing the EDS controls after the Modification is Idle speed.
There's No Need to bother with deceiving the EDS anymore!
[Let the little Bugger store codes until it chokes on them...
Will not affect your motoring enjoyment No More.]
