617 swap question
I am putting my 617 into my new 83 240D W123 with 4 speed manual. It is coming along nice. I have a question about those engine shocks. The shock on the drivers side will install on the 83 W123, but for the other side I would have to weld in the bracket. I no longer have my welder, and it is a delicate job, if done has to be done right. My thinking as of this time is to go with drivers side engine shock only. Do you have any comments or suggestions?

as long as you have engine mounts on both sides it should be ok. not all 617's had engine shocks. I have 2 that never had them from new.
