right side pop

Hi,

I have noticed what can best be described as a faint popping sound, coming from the front right. Sounds like it is coming from the floorboard and/or behind the glovebox.

Car drives great, front suspension is nice and tight, steering tight, etc., but I get this pop or sequence of pops.

It seems to do this to some extent when turning the wheels on flat ground, but also does this it seems when there is a wheel elevation change. I seem to notice it more when first started, and after drivign a bit, it seems to subside besides when going real slow and doing a lot of turning.

Threads like this:
Thump/pop from front half of car w/ turn

Seem to indicate guide rod mount as the source of noise, but does this make sense as accurate? I assume a guide rod mount would sound like it is coming through the floorboard...

Thanks!

Another data point, took a curve to the right at relatively high speed for the curve (it is a 270 degree highway offramp), and didnt hear anything. However, turning the wheel to maneuver to park caused this pop/groan sound.

Have the car stopped and running and have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you feel the right tire. Mine makes a click/pop as well and I believe it is my ball joint. You can feel it through the tire if it is as someone turns the wheel.
