60 to 100 mph in W116 with 617.950:
Here is a short movie taken this afternoon in my 1978 300SD as I increased the speed from 60 to 100mph.
This was done in high gear without downshifting. Just a smooth, steady flow of power from the turbocharged diesel in 4th gear. Took about 25 seconds to complete the pull. If you look closely, you will see the oil pressure pegged at 45 psi and the coolant temperature at 150 degrees (F). That's with an outside temperature of 88 degrees (F) and the A/C on. Damn...the server won't accept a MPG File. Well, maybe I can figure a way out to host the clip somewhere else so you all can see it...Bert
