I'm troubleshooting the vacuum door locks on my 1977 240d. I have determined that the actuators in both passenger doors have leaks as well as the trunk lock. I have the parts to replace the two passenger door actuators. I am not as concerned about fixing the trunk lock or having the gas door lock work.
My question is in regards to bypassing the trunk and gas locks, what would be the best way to do that and still have the rest of the vacuum locking system work?
E.g. under the passenger side carpet I can see the 1 set of lines veering off to rear passenger door, and another set of lines heading back toward the trunk. Would it be best to simply plug both lines that are headed back toward the trunk, or would I need to 'splice' them together.
